The Landscapes Between Our Bodies
Untitled, from the series The Landscapes Between Our Bodies, 2019
The series of photographs are exhibited at Musée d’art de Joliette from October 5th 2019 until January 5th 2020.
Artist Véronique Malo is interested in gestures and traces of everyday life. In the fall of 2018, she invited the public to send her their photographs. She took inspiration from the submissions to create new compositions, to be shown at the Musée d’art de Joliette in the fall of 2019. The random, unexpected, astonishing and poetic aspects of the images led the artist to retain only gaps – spaces between bodies – to create new abstract arrangements that make invisible things tangible. These new black and white photographic works will compose the new exhibition The Landscapes Between Our Bodiesand will be displayed in the museum’s traffic areas.
