Sainte-Melanie Project 

The Public Square

A video installation will be presented in the church of Sainte-Mélanie, in Lanaudière, from 21st to the 25th of September 2010, during the evenings. Opening at 7p.m. on September 22nd 2010 at the church. Everyone is welcome !

This video projection revisits this historic and religious place while highlighting its architectural qualities. It questions the notions of movement and gathering. Two temporalities are superimposed: the fixity and permanence of the building versus the frenetic speed at which life takes place outside its walls - the presence of pedestrians, residents and the community. Together they constitute a public place full of exchanges and encounters.
